Zommer Chime

$30.00

UPDATE: More Zommer chimes will be arriving the first week of December! Be sure to add your email to the notification list to be the first to know when they arrive from India.

A beautiful, sweet chime! Hang outside your kitchen door or window. Made by Janmamad Luhar and his family in the Kutchchi desert region of western India. Recycled steel is used to form the bells. Each bell is first beaten into shape by hand, dipped in copper, padded with clay, then buried under the hot desert sand in a kiln. Finally, Janmamad personally hand-tunes each bell in every chime! This age-old technique of metal-work is what gives each piece its unique patina and tone. Approximately 8" in length.
